Pheromones lure for Oryctes rhinoceros (Rhinoceros Beetle)
Adult Rhinoceros Beetle (RB) attacks the healthy coconut trees, bores into the unopened fronds and spathes and feeds on it. The attacked frond when fully opened, shows a triangular cuts which can be used as identification of pest. Damage by the pest leads to 10 – 15% yield loss.
